Rescue One Clinic finds new veterinarian, thanks community for helping them

After months of searching, the Rescue One animal clinic has secured new veterinarians, putting to rest concerns of a potential closure.

Rescue One is entering a partnership with the Animal Clinic of Ava, bringing Dr. Mike Peters on board as the new Medical Director.

The clinic had been seeking a new vet to replace its current veterinarian, Dr. Keisner, who is set to leave her position on December 1, 2025.

Despite posting a number of job listings, Rescue One could not find a replacement. With fears of the clinic potentially closing, the team made one last attempt by reaching out to the Springfield community on social media, asking them to help in the search.
