CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was killed and a 24-year-old woman is in critical condition after they were shot while inside a parked car Saturday night in the Clearing neighborhood on the city's Southwest Side, according to Chicago police.
Police say the victims were inside a parked vehicle in the 5900 block of South Normandy Avenue just after 7 p.m. when a dark-colored sedan drove past, from which an unidentified offender took out a gun and fired shots at the victims from inside the offender's vehicle.
The 24-year-old woman was shot on both sides of the face and taken to an area hospital, where she was listed in critical condition, according to police. The 23-year-old man was shot multiple times in the body and taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
