AUSTIN (KXAN) — A group of healing families released butterflies into the sky over the weekend. A symbol of hope and healing as mothers, fathers and children cope with loss.

Pili Garcia, organized the event. It was hosted in part by her business, Clarisse's Bags, in partnership with EverMother foundation. Both groups support mothers who experienced stillbirth or infant loss.

Garcia carried her daughter Clarisse for nine months, before she lost her. That pain has turned into a mission to build deeper connections with families experiences similar loss.

On Saturday, families participated in a Remembrance Walk. Multiple vendors, lined the sidewalk outside of KIPP Austin Academy. From custom floral arrangements, to a sentimental, "tiny angles library," with free books, the goal of the event
