WARREN - The W.D. Packard Concert Band has brought free music and inspiration to the Warren area for 70 years. To commemorate the achievement, this Sunday they are hosting their 70th anniversary concert.
Audiences are welcome to join them for free in their home theatre, the Packard Music Hall, at 3:00 p.m. to listen to their special anniversary arrangement.
Sunday's concert is set to feature both the Packard Brass Quartet and the Packard Clarinets, as well as music newly commissioned for the concert in the form of "We, Are Packard," composed and to be conducted by Jerry Ascione.
The W.D. Packard Concert Band is supported by the W.D. Packard trust, established in the will of a man by the same name in 1920.
