EDGERTON, Kan. -- Gieringer's Family Farm in Edgerton is offering a unique pick-your-own experience this fall, featuring a variety of pumpkins and apples available directly from the vine and tree.

The farm provides visitors the opportunity to select from several pumpkin varieties, resulting in a colorful array of sizes and shapes.

Additionally, guests can stroll through extensive apple orchards to pick popular varieties such as Pink Lady and Fuji, as well as lesser-known apples like Snapdragon and Ludicrisp.

"We joined the Midwest Apple Improvement Association. They breed apples for the Midwest," explained Farmer Frank from Gieringer's Family Farm.

"We have unique varieties like Sweet Zinger, Rosalie, Ludicrisp, and Ever Crisp that you will not find in your local grocery store."
