BATON ROUGE — LSU football returned to the win column with a much-needed victory over South Carolina on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.
The Tigers took care of the Gamecocks 20-10 in a game that was a one-possession contest until the last few minutes. LSU (4-1, 2-1 SEC) improved its spot in the Southeastern Conference standings with the win but there were a number of things not to like about its performance against South Carolina (3-3, 1-3).
LSU turned the ball over in the red zone a couple of times and pass protection remains a major concern for this team moving forward. But the Tigers keep winning and there were a couple of teams ahead of them in the polls that dropped their games this weekend but those were in ranked matchups.
