WAWARSING, N.Y. — Republican/Conservative incumbent Supervisor Terry Houck’s effort to win a third term is facing a challenge from Democratic town Councilman Joseph Stoeckeler.
The race to lead the Town Board also includes incumbent Councilman William Brown, on the Democratic line with village Trustee and Working Families candidate Samantha Ellis, and incumbent Councilman Michael Moschetta, on the Republican/Conservative lines, along with Jeremy Hull, who will have only the Republican endorsement.
Houck, 75, is retired from the state Department of Corrections. He was previously on the Town Board from 2004 to 2017. He is a lifetime town resident and, with his wife, Rosa-Elena Houck, has three children. He graduated from Ellenville High School in 1969 and earned a bachelor’s degree in phys
