FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The 2025 World Cup for Sitting ParaVolley has begun in Fort Wayne.
Nearly 400 athletes representing more than 15 countries will now take over Turnstone Plassman Athletic Center for a week-long sitting volleyball competition from October 12-18.
Sitting volleyball is an inclusive, adaptive sport that is similar to volleyball, except players are seated, the net is shorter, and the court is smaller.
“Sit volleyball puts everybody on an equal playing field,” said Turnstone’s Manager of Sports, Kevin Hugh.
“This event exemplifies the power of inclusive sports and provides a transformational experience for our community,” said Turnstone’s CEO, Mike Mushett.
