The Lovejoy girls cross country team had a run of three straight Class 5A state championships snapped last season.

As the Lady Leopards look to start a new title streak, they extended their run of consecutive district titles to eight on Tuesday after a strong overall showing at the 9-5A meet, hosted on Lovejoy's campus.
