BROOKLYN, N.Y. — SUNY Ulster’s men’s soccer team battled wind, rain and a stubborn Kingsborough Community College team to a scoreless draw to conclude the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 11.

The Senators (10-2-2), who are currently ranked No. 9 among National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III soccer teams, will now wait to find out where they will meet SUNY Westchester Community College for the Mid-Hudson Conference title on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

“We struggled to find a consistent possession in the first half as the rain and wind made for tough conditions,” SUNY Ulster coach Jamal Lis-Simmons said of Saturday’s contest. “The rain stopped for the second half, both teams created a few opportunities but were unable to score.”
