An investigation is underway after police said a shooting happened early Sunday morning in the parking lot of a bar in South Jersey.

According to the Maple Shade Police Department, around 2:04 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2025, officers responded to Jay's Elbow Room Bar for a report of a shooting in the parking lot.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that a shooting had taken place, although officers could not find anyone involved in the shooting at the scene.

A short time later, police said offices were notified that a man had arrived at an area hospital with a single gunshot wound. He was treated and later released.
