TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Southern Arizona may still be experiencing warm days, but overnight temperatures are starting to drop, creating challenges for the unhoused population. Socks are the most requested but least donated item in shelters, and a local organization is working to address that need one step at a time.
During colder months socks can protect against the cold and even prevent serious health issues. That’s why the Salvation Army is hosting the “Socktober” drive, and officials say one pair can go a long way.
