College football analysts and fans have already begun tossing out names for potential replacements, with one being at the top of experts' lists.
Nebraska head coach and former Nittany Lions linebacker Matt Rhule's name jumped to the top of minds given his ties to the program. A State College native, Rhule was a walk-on linebacker for Joe Paterno in 1994 and became an Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
