It's been nearly a month since a new case of Vibrio vulnificus, also called "flesh-eating" bacteria , was reported in Florida, but the latest data from the state Health Department shows the number has gone up by one.

The new case was reported in Hernando County, the FDOH said as of Oct. 10, bringing the total to 29.
