BAY RIDGE — Among the thousands of costumed cuties who assembled “on the avenue” for the 59th Annual Children’s Ragamuffin Parade this past weekend, one stood out among the rest.

I’m speaking, of course, of Penelope Isabella Buttacavoli — my Paperanian pooch, who made her Ragamuffin debut as a little bumblebee! Call it personal bias if you like, but I certainly was not alone in this assessment.
