ATLANTA — Virginia Tech and North Carolina State are the only ACC teams that hadn’t taken an off week through Week 7 of the college football season.

That means seven straight weeks of grinding through practices, sitting through film sessions and playing for 60 minutes on Saturdays.

It takes a toll on the players’ bodies. Virginia Tech was without starting linebacker Jaden Keller for Saturday’s 35-20 loss against No. 13 Georgia Tech at Bobby Dodd Stadium, and the Hokies potentially loss starting cornerback Thomas Williams to an injury in the first half.
