(WHTM) — WellSpan York Hospital released an update on the remaining Pennsylvania Trooper who was injured in the Franklin County shooting last Wednesday.
WellSpan announced that Lucas Amarose, the 31-year-old State Trooper who was shot in a "fierce gunfight" by Exit 3 on I-81 in Antrim Township, Franklin County, on October 8, was upgraded to satisfactory condition this afternoon.
Pennsylvania State Police said in a statement that Amarose, along with fellow Trooper Thomas Pack, 23, and another unnamed Trooper, were responding to a call of a retail theft at a Dick’s Sporting Goods in Guilford Township when three suspects fled the scene toward I-81.
Troopers say they stopped the suspects' vehicle using spike strips, and two female suspects exited the vehicle and complied with the Troopers'
