Small grants of up to $2,500 for conservation education programs and materials are available for organizations, the Ohio Forestry Association Foundation announced Wednesday.

The application period for 2026 funding opened Wednesday and runs through Nov. 5, a news release from the nonprofit said. The foundation provides resources to individuals and organizations throughout Ohio for conservation education and awareness of forest resources.

Examples of previous grant recipients include $1,000 to help fund an educational trip for college forestry students, $1,500 to sponsor a 4-H woodworking day at the state fair, and $1,000 to help fund the purchase of a portable sawmill for a natural resource class at a career center.
