Higley High School recently welcomed representatives from Arizona State University Society of Women Engineers for a panel and roundtable discussion aimed at empowering future engineers.
The event featured six ASU student panelists from a variety of engineering disciplines and academic levels, each sharing their unique journeys through college, internships, research opportunities and campus involvement.
The format was intentionally informal and conversational, allowing Higley students to engage in meaningful Q&A sessions.
The goal was to create a space where students could ask candid questions about college life, career paths, and the realities of pursuing engineering.
Zoe Amtsfield, K-12 outreach director for ASU’s SWE Chapter, emphasized the importance of connection and mentorship.
