SOUTH HILL, Wash. — The Pierce County Force Investigation Team is investigating after a sheriff’s deputy shot a domestic violence suspect Sunday afternoon.
Shortly after 12 p.m., Pierce County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputies responded to the 12600 block of 106th Avenue Court East in South Hill for reports of a domestic violence incident involving a weapon .
According to PCSO, the incident involved a woman and her boyfriend who reportedly had a weapon.
Shortly after deputies arrived, shots were fired.
No deputies were injured, according to PCSO.
The suspect is in custody and was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. The Pierce County Force Investigation Team will lead the investigation.
