Delaware officials began ramping up their storm response as a nor'easter impacted coastal areas Oct. 12.

With coastal flooding and high winds expected to continue through Oct. 13 , the Delaware National Guard has been activated, a Delaware Emergency Management Agency news release said. Delawareans are urged to keep informed and follow any directives from local authorities, the release said.

“We’re monitoring the situation and proactively positioning additional resources to support counties and municipalities in safe-guarding residents,” DEMA Director A.J.
