COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — Idaho State Police (ISP) say a car crash in Shoshone County leaves a Post Falls woman dead early Sunday morning.

ISP says that at around 2:50 a.m., officers responded to a car crash on Coeur d'Alene River Road near milepost 13.

Police say the 24-year-old driver was driving southbound on Coeur d'Alene River Road when she failed to "negotiate" a turn and drove off the road, which caused the car to flip.

ISP says when they arrived on the scene, the driver was pronounced dead. Police say she was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash.

The crash is still under investigation. The name of the driver has not been released at this time.
