NEW ORLEANS, La. (WLBT) - The New Orleans Saints fall to 1-5 on the season, the first time since 1999, after a close loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, 25-19.

The Saints came out swinging in the game, finding Chris Olave on the first play from scrimmage for a 53-yard gain to get them in Patriots territory quick.

New Orleans would have to settle for a 34-yard Blake Grupe field goal on their opening drive though.

The Patriots responded quickly after that with a four-play, 65-yard drive capped off by a 53-yard passing touchdown from Drake Maye to DeMario Douglas to get the Patriots the lead.

The Saints followed that with a 10-play, 43-yard drive that was finished by another Grupe field goal from 48 yards.

Once again, the Patriots would walk down the field quickly to find another
