KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — If you were out on the Tennessee River this afternoon, you might have seen more than just the usual boats.
Dozens of witches, warlocks and other magical creatures floated down the river Sunday as part of a festive "Witches Paddle" event . Participants in costume took to kayaks and paddleboards, launching from Suttree Landing Park in South Downtown Knoxville around 2 p.m.
The spirited gathering celebrated the Halloween season with costumes, decorated boards and a strong sense of community. From pointy hats to glittering capes, paddlers turned the river into a magical scene — drawing smiles from onlookers along the banks.
