Firefighters, EMS personnel and law enforcement officers will go head-to-head this weekend in the second annual First Responders Pulled Pork Cook-Off, part of Dickinson County’s Faith & Blue Weekend celebration at the Solomon City Park. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the Solomon High School commons area.

The fun starts at 5:30 p.m. Saturday with the cook-off and meal, followed by entertainment starting at 6 p.m.

Deputy Brandon Depew with the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office said the friendly competition gives community members a chance to taste and vote on their favorite barbecue while connecting with local first responders.
