COLUMBUS, Ohio — With early in-person voting underway, Ohioans have been casting their votes in this year's general election.

However, boards of elections in Ohio are closed Monday in observance of Columbus Day , a federal holiday. They will reopen the following day on Tuesday, Oct. 14. For a list of county boards of elections, visit here .

Those looking to vote before Election Day can visit their local board of elections building beginning Oct. 7 to cast their ballot from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Early voting runs up to Nov. 4.

The Ohio Secretary of State's Office will be also be closed Monday.

All federal and state offices will be closed and government services like United States Post Offices will be affected.

This includes government offices that have remained open as essential offices
