SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Rain and gusty winds are moving into San Diego County at the beginning of the week.
Rain is forecast to move into Southern California Monday night and into Tuesday morning, ending Tuesday night. Winds will pick up to around 30-40 mph starting late Monday night, NWS reports, as a low-pressure system brings in colder air, showers and high-elevation snow.
NWS estimates that San Diego will receive less than 0.25 inch of rain, with a more than 50% chance of rain forecast for most of the county on Tuesday.
The low pressure system will bring in gusty winds to the county, with the highest gusts in the mountains and deserts. Gusts exceeding 55 miles per hour are possible at times in the deserts, according to KUSI futurecast models.
