ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Sixty people are without a home in Norcross after an afternoon fire on Sunday.
Gwinnett County fire officials say a neighbor called 911 just before 3 p.m. after seeing flames coming from the balcony of a top-floor apartment at the Reserve at Gwinnett apartments at 1780 Graves Road NW. That neighbor was also trying to help others evacuate.
No one was home in the unit where the fire started, and investigators are still working to determine the cause.
Nobody was injured in the fire.
Those affected by the fire will receive assistance from the American Red Cross and apartment management.
