CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war held through the weekend.
All 20 living hostages in Gaza are expected to be released on Monday.
They're set to be reunited with their families more than two years after the war began.
During that time, the Chabad of Charlotte has put out prayer cards with the faces of hostages that say, 'We Need Them Home.'
"Everyone in our community has been empathetic - not sympathetic, but empathetic - feeling their pain and thinking about them," said Rabbi Yossi Groner.
Groner says there's relief and extreme joy among the world's Jews at the prospect of the hostages' return.
