YAKIMA, Wash. – Starting Monday, October 13, the intersection of E. Nob Hill Boulevard and Fair Avenue in Yakima will be closed overnight for several weeks.
The closure will occur from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with detours posted to guide drivers, the city said in a release .
The project, led by Interwest Construction Inc. of Burlington, involves installing a new traffic signal and reconstructing and widening the intersection.
Improvements to city water and stormwater systems are also planned.
The intersection will reopen each Friday morning for weekend traffic. Work will pause in mid-December and resume in March, depending on weather conditions, with completion expected by June 2026.
