DALLAS — A woman was hospitalized following a Sunday afternoon shooting in southern Dallas, police said.

According to the Dallas Police Department, officers responded to a shooting call in the 3600 block of West Red Bird Lane around 3:05 p.m. and found a woman had been shot. Police said the woman was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The department did not release any additional details, but said the investigation is ongoing.
