ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

With the 53rd Balloon Fiesta wrapped up, visitors are making their way to the airport. But some are having a harder time than others getting on their flights.

"We were supposed to arrive in Oklahoma City around like seven-ish, give or take," Eric Knudsen said. "Now it's 11:30 p.m."

Knudsen and his family say they are some of the travelers being affected by delays at the Albuquerque International Sunport. This has become a growing concern for some due to the government shutdown reaching its 12th straight day, affecting federal employees from airports to National Parks.
