TORONTO – Bryce Miller gave the Mariners everything they could ask for and more in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series on Sunday night. And after his six innings of one-run ball in Seattle’s 3-1 win over Toronto, the Mariners’ pitching staff is looking to be in better shape following the 15-inning affair on Friday that got them to this spot.

That led manager Dan Wilson to announce postgame on Sunday that Logan Gilbert will be the Mariners’ starter for Game 2 on Monday night at Rogers Centre.
