SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The South Dakota State defense was strong on Saturday.

The team allowed just three points.

This came after the team gave up 30 to Youngstown State, the most points they allowed this season.

Dan Jackson said, “That was in the locker room after the game against Youngstown State, we were excited to get that win to show the character that we did but 30 points is not the standard here for defense and our players had an edge about them this week in practice, the leadership stepped up there. 30 points is never going to be anything that is acceptable around here I’m proud of how they prepared through the week and then they played so free, it wasn’t just that they were so sound tonight, because we were, but I was excited about the playmaking.”
