A bipartisan coalition of state representatives, including Sen. Hearcel Craig and Rep. Latyna Humphrey, is working on passing housing reform before the year’s end.

That’s good news because, while Ohio residents are deeply divided these days, they all seem to agree that it’s become too hard to afford a home.

According to a recent poll by the Opportunity Starts at Home, or OSAH, campaign, 84 percent of Ohio voters believe it’s more difficult to find affordable housing than it was five years ago. Ohioans also say they’re worried about being evicted and are sacrificing financially in order to pay their mortgages and rents.
