MOUNDSVILLE — It is nearly time for all the little ghouls, goblins and Taylor Swifts to go door-to-door and ask for sweet treats during Trick or Treat sessions across the Ohio Valley.
And it’s up to children, parents and drivers to stay safe during the Halloween celebrations. Marshall County Sheriff Mike Dougherty said trick or treaters should carry a flashlight and not just their treat bag while going from home to home. During this time of year trick or treat sessions will be starting near dark and a flash light can help light sidewalks and roadways.
He also recommends that, if possible, children wear brightly-colored costumes and parents wear reflective vests or clothing while walking with their children.
