More than five years after closing its freestanding emergency center in Goochland, HCA has unloaded the property in an eight-figure deal.
The health system sold the shuttered West Creek Emergency Center for $11 million in a transaction that was recorded in late September, according to online property records. The buyer was an entity tied to local developer Rob Chesson.
The 11,000-square-foot building at 12720 Tuckahoe Creek Parkway is situated on a 57-acre property in eastern Goochland.
HCA bought the land in 2006 for $10.5 million. It then built the emergency facility and opened it for business in 2012. The ER was the sole HCA facility in Goochland before it closed in April 2020 in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
