This week in Pittsburgh concerts: the Femmes are back, Mumford brings his Sons and all Hellbender breaks loose.

Wednesday

Violent Femmes (Stage AE): The seminal Milwaukee folk-punk band that gave us “Blister in the Sun” back in ‘83 returns to the North Shore, this time as a headliner. The set, running about 20 songs, will include such classics as “Country Death Song,” “Gimme the Car” and “Gone Daddy Gone.” It’s a sold-out indoor show. Doors open at 7 p.m. promowestlive.com.

Tate McRae (PPG Paints Arena): The Canadian dance-pop artist who came to fame on “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2016 makes her Pittsburgh debut, touring behind her third album, “So Close to What.” She does a 90-minute set with hits like “Greedy,” “Sports Car” and the new “TIT FOR TAT.” Alessi Rose opens. 7:30 p.m.;
