New Delhi: A Bengaluru-based GalaxEye has announced plans to launch the world’s first multi-sensor Earth observation satellite, named Mission Drishti, in the first quarter of 2026. The 160 kg satellite is being called India’s largest privately-built spacecraft and will serve as the foundation of the company’s future constellation of observation satellites.

The launch will mark the beginning of a four-year plan to deploy up to 10 satellites by 2029. Each satellite will help capture detailed Earth imagery for industries like agriculture, defence, utilities, and disaster management; a field where India has been rapidly growing over the last decade.
