The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a PIL seeking an SIT probe into allegations of electoral roll manipulation levelled by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in Bengaluru Central and other constituencies.

"We have heard the petitioner's counsel. We are not inclined to entertain the petition, which is purportedly filed in public interest. The petitioner may pursue before the Election Commission, if so advised," a Bench of Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi told the petitioner.

The petitioner submitted that a representation was given to the Election Commission but it was not considered.

Filed by advocate Rohit Pandey, the petition urged the top court to stop further revision or finalisation of electoral rolls be undertaken by the Election Commission until an independent audit
