ONEIDA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- There aren't any school bells ringing at Oneida High School this year. Instead, the high school campus is buzzing with construction crews working to fix the damage caused by flash flooding from a June storm.

NewsChannel 9 was first to get a tour of the damaged Oneida High School back in June, when the basement, where the boilers and electrical units were housed, was completely flooded.

The plan is for students to be back at the high school next school year, but the superintendent says the timetable could change.

"We are planning for a full year to be out, but as I'm telling everybody that will listen, is that if we have an opportunity to get in sooner, we're going to take that opportunity," school district superintendent Matt Carpenter said. "We just want to ma
