A Greggs outlet was instructed to enhance its hygiene standards following a recent inspection failure. The bakery chain is currently the only business at Birmingham Airport failing in terms of hygiene, as per the latest reports.

On 26 August, food hygiene inspectors awarded Greggs a score of 2, indicating that improvement is necessary. Any score below 3, which signifies 'generally satisfactory', is deemed a fail by the Food Standards Agency.
