'Terrifying explosions' were heard as a road near to the huge Hams Hall estate was closed for hours. Workers at nearby factories at the North Warwickshire estate told CoventryLive they heard 'terrifying explosions' and said they 'literally shook the ground' earlier this morning (October 15).
Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service (WFRS) has confirmed that it was called to a collision between HGV tractor unit and one HGV tractor at 3.30am on Faraday Avenue. Both vehicles were 'well alight'.
"Six fire appliances attended the scene and on arrival discovered one HGV tractor unit and one HGV tractor and trailer fully alight," a WFRS spokesperson said.
"Crews acted swiftly to extinguish the fires and remained on site for approximately two hours to damp down and ensure the area was safe."
