Ollie Watkins has been ruled out of England's World Cup Qualifier against Latvia through injury.

The Three Lions will continue their push to reach the 2026 finals in Riga on Tuesday, live on talkSPORT, but will do so without the Aston Villa striker.

Watkins has failed to recover from a knock he picked up in the national team's 3-0 victory over Wales on Thursday.

The 29-year-old got on the scoresheet, but was later forced off after colliding with the post when trying to get on the end of a cross.

While Thomas Tuchel played this down at the time, a statement from England has now confirmed Watkins will play no part in their next match, having returned to his club.
