One person has serious injuries and two others were taken to the hospital following a crash in Stamford early Sunday morning.
Police said a Volkswagen SUV was traveling northbound on Long Ridge Road at the same time a Nissan SUV was turning around in a parking lot on the same road. Investigators believe as the Nissan pulled out of the lot to head south on Long Ridge Road, it pulled in front of the Volkswagen and the two vehicles collided.

The driver of the Nissan, identified by police as a 39-year-old Norwalk resident, suffered serious, potentially life-threatening injuries in the crash and needed to be extricated from the vehicle, police said.
