Road work scheduled for Hoone Road in Poipu Oct. 13 to 24

POIPU – The Department of Public Works and its contractor, Maui Kupono Builders, are announcing road closures and single-lane contraflow traffic patterns for portions of Hoone Road in Poipu today until Oct. 24, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weekdays only, weather permitting.

These traffic modifications are necessary for road paving work.

Access to properties will be provided. Drivers are urged to observe and obey all traffic controls, posted signs and flaggers. Drivers should anticipate detours, lane, and road closure delays, and allow extra travel time while in the work areas.
