FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Police say a death investigation is underway in downtown Fort Wayne.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD), officers were called to the 1600 block of Broadway after receiving reports of multiple people on the roof of an abandoned Electric Works building around 7:40 p.m. Sunday.

When authorities arrived, they say they found a man with multiple injuries at the railroad tracks near the abandoned building. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they are currently interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence, and the railroad will remain closed as police investigate.
