Wide receiver Jauan Jennings made his return to the 49ers in their 30-19 Week 6 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday after missing San Francisco’s Week 5 overtime win at the Los Angeles Rams with rib and ankle injuries.
However, Jennings might not be close to full strength after all.
The five-year veteran revealed his current ailments to reporters at Raymond James Stadium after the loss.
“Playing with injuries is just something that’s a part of it, you know,” Jennings said. “You got high (and) low ankle sprains, you got shoulders … you got ribs, five broken ribs. It is what it is. You keep playing. And nobody cares; you keep playing. It’s what we do.”
“Yeah, I got five broken ribs.”
