WASHINGTON – Hamas has released 20 hostages held in Gaza after 737 days in captivity.

The hostages were freed on Monday, Oct. 13, as part of a ceasefire agreement brokered by the United States.

Seven of the freed hostages have been returned to Israel, according to the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, a volunteer organization focused on the safe return of the abductees in Gaza. The other 13 are being accompanied by Israel Defense Forces and Israel Security Agency on their return to Israel, where they will undergo an initial medical assessment, the agencies said in a joint statement.

Here’s a look at the hostages that have been freed:

–Alon Ohel, 24, abducted from a shelter after fleeing the Nova music festival.

–Ariel Cunio, 28, taken from Kibbutz Nir Oz in southern Israel, near the Gaza Strip. Brother of hostage David Cunio.

–Avinatan Or, 32, kidnapped at the Nova music festival.

–Bar Kupershstein, 23, kidnapped while working at the Nova music festival.

–David Cunio, 35, abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz with his wife, twin daughters, sister-in-law and young niece. The women and the young girls were released in November 2023. Brother of hostage Ariel Cunio.

–Eitan Horn, 38, kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz while visiting his brother.

–Eitan Mor, 25, abducted while working as a security guard at the Nova music festival.

–Elkana Bohbot, 36, kidnapped from the Nova music festival. Bohbot was one of the organizers of the festival.

–Evyatar David, 24, abducted from the Nova music festival.

–Gali Berman and Ziv Berman, both 28, twin brothers. Both worked as light and sound technicians and were kidnapped from Kibbutz Kfar Aza in southern Israel.

–Guy Gilboa-Dalal, 24, kidnapped at Nova music festival.

–Maksym Harkin, 37, abducted from Nova music festival.

–Matan Angrest, 22, soldier, pulled from his tank and abducted near the Gaza border.

–Matan Zangauker, 25, kidnapped from his home in Kibbutz Nir Oz, along with his partner, Ilana Gritzewsky. She was freed in a prior hostage release deal in November 2023. He has muscular dystrophy, which made his conditions in captivity especially dire.

–Nimrod Cohen, 20, an Israel Defense Forces soldier. Kidnapped after his tank was attacked near the border between Kibbutz Nir Oz and Nirim. He was the only survivor among four crew members.

–Omri Miran, 48, was kidnapped from his home in Kibbutz Nahal Oz.

–Rom Braslavski, 21, abducted at Nova music festival.

–Sergev Kalfon, 27, abducted at Nova music festival. Worked at the family’s bakery before his abduction and was studying finance.

–Yosef-Chaim Ohana, 25, kidnapped at Nova music festival.
