Michigan’s defense will need to regroup quickly. The Wolverines host Washington and its rising star quarterback on Saturday.

Washington beat Rutgers on Friday night 38-19 behind a monster performance from sophomore Demond Williams Jr. The Huskies improved to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the Big Ten. They beat Michigan in Seattle last season after losing to the Wolverines in the 2023 national championship.

Michigan (4-2, 2-1) lost to USC on Saturday night 31-13 and went from No. 15 to unranked as a result. The defense struggled throughout against both the run and pass. Williams alone will test both areas.
